Box Lunches if you would like to save a little more time, teach your children to make their own breakfasts and school lunches. With a little guidance, children can start making their own healthy lunches at 10 years old. The easiest way to do this is to always keep a selection of their favourite healthy foods on hand, the children can do the rest. Teach the children to include 2 grains, 1 protein, 1 fruit, 2 vegetables, 1 dairy and a healthy snack in their lunch. You may have to help them at first, but they will get the hang of making healthy kids lunches quickly enough.
