Speed Clean Checklist: Free Printable

Between work and family time management, parents have a lot to stay on top of and cleaning is not at the top of the list in terms of favourite activities. Here is a list of ways to speed-clean so that the cleaning task does not become over-whelming.

SPEED CLEAN CHECKLIST

Clean your home quickly and efficiently to make time for important things.

DO THIS: Gather your cleaning supplies, a garbage bag and a laundry basket.  Set your timer and spend 15 minutes in each room. When the timer goes off, move to the next room.

KITCHEN

• Empty and load the dishwasher
• Clean sinks
• Clean and disinfect counters
• Wipe down appliances
• Sweep the kitchen floor

LIVING ROOMS

• Put misplaced items in the laundry  basket as you clean.
• Put garbage in a garbage bag
• Straighten furniture and pillows
• Wipe/dust hard surfaces

TIP: Use the laundry basket for misplaced items and put garbage in the trash bag as you move from room to room. Enlist family members to help.

BEDROOMS

• Make bed
• Put clothes and shoes away
• Pick up items from the floor
• Collect and empty garbage

BATHROOMS

• Wipe the sink
• Scrub and wipe down toilet
• Pick up dirty towels and clothes
• Wipe down vanity and mirror
• Change towels

AT THE END

• Put misplaced items away
• Take out the garbage
• Sweep/mop or vacuum floors
